It has been an incredible honor to see your children grow over the last 15 years in this Kirkland practice, and I have loved hanging their drawings on my wall, hearing about their most recent hobbies, and celebrating milestones with them, like losing their first tooth, getting their braces off, and graduating high school. After caring for so many wonderful families, I am writing to share that I have decided to embark on a new adventure with my own family in the UK. This has been a dream for me and my husband to travel, broaden our own experiences, and expand our children's worldviews.⠀

While I will miss seeing you and your children, I know I am leaving the practice in the best possible hands. I am excited to introduce Dr. Julio Escobar, who I am currently transitioning practice ownership to, and who is looking forward to continuing the legacy of compassionate, high-quality care for your children. Dr. Escobar and I first met in 2016, shortly after he moved to Washington, and we quickly discovered our shared passion for pediatric dentistry. Over the years, we have collaborated in dental study clubs and developed a strong professional connection. ⠀

Since 2023, Dr. Escobar has already been seeing patients at our practice on an interim basis, getting to know many of you. He is not only a highly skilled pediatric dentist but also an active resident of the community—whether it’s through Scouts, his children’s schools, or running and biking the Cross Kirkland Corridor.⠀

Dr. Escobar and I both trained at UCLA, and he brings the same warmth, dedication, and excellence in care that you’ve come to expect. Additionally, I am happy to share that our wonderful associate, Dr. Kevin McCoy, will continue to be part of the practice. Many of you already know and trust Dr. McCoy, and together, he and Dr. Escobar will ensure a seamless and positive experience for all our patients.⠀

I am filled with gratitude for the years we’ve shared. Thank you for trusting me with your child’s dental care. I am confident that this next season will be amazing with Dr. Escobar and our incredible team! ⠀

Happy 4th of July! Our office will be closed for the holiday so our team can enjoy a long weekend with family and friends. The office will reopen on Monday, July 8th at 8:30. Stay safe! ❤️🤍💙

You know you’re supposed to brush your teeth but what about your tongue? Most of the bacteria in your mouth actually live on your tongue! While a tongue won’t get cavities, it holds bacteria which can eventually spread to teeth. Brushing your tongue will also help with unwanted odors so make sure not to skip it! 👅

We also recommend assisting your child with brushing until 7 or 8 years of age to make sure your child is doing a thorough job! 🦷
