Hello facebookers. We know it’s been awhile since we have been on, we have not forgotten you, seems COVID has messed up even facebook.
Well here is what is happening today at the Dental Clinic.
Angela, one of our hygienist had to let go of her older chair that she loved, making room for a chair with more technology and comfort. Patients of Angela, I hope you enjoy it.

Okay, a little update on the extraction of my tooth that was resorbing.
On Wednesday, October 3rd, my hopeless tooth was extracted and a bone graft placed. With the tooth resorbing it was a little tough for the doctor to get the tooth out due to every time he grabbed the tooth with any force it would crumble. I will say it was especially wierd to have a tooth pulled since I have never had any dental work ever performed on me. While the doctor was extracting my tooth, I will say it was also odd to know exactly what he was doing and the sounds that followed. People that have had teeth extracted know exactly what I am talking about....
I felt pretty good that night as I went and coached football and went about my day. The next day the discomfort was about the same.
So at this point, things are going pretty good....

So last week I had a little blood in my spit. We took an X-ray and found I have internal resorption on one of my teeth. Diagnoses is that the tooth is hopeless. Only option is extraction and implant in this area. Funny thing about this situation is I really have never had a cavity, so I am literally going from never having anything to having a extraction and a implant placed.
I am going to document this process so that my patients, along with people that follow Mathews Dental page, can see that this type of procedure is very predictable and very easy to go thru.
