You know what I see a lot in dentistry? People redoing the same dental work again anfd again.
Crown failures, decay under the old dental work, fillings disintegrating, tooth fractures, accelerated gum disease etc..
And then patients start thinking, I think I just have bad teeth.
But honestly that’s not the real problem.
What usually happens is this.
The tooth got fixed. But then the real reason was never addressed. Teeth just dont operate by themselves, they are a part of the system. Bite, joints, gums, bone and airway are equally as important.
If those things aren’t considered… dental work ends up under a lot of pressure. And eventually something gives.
So when people come to our office, the first question I usually ask is:
“Why did this break?”
Because once you understand that, you can actually design dentistry that lasts.
