πŸ– During summer, dental care can sometimes be overlooked. Kids might skip brushing or ignore tooth pain because they want to keep having fun.

🎾 Playing sports, slipping by the pool, and other summer activities can sometimes lead to chipped teeth.

🦷 If a child’s tooth pulp is exposed because of decay or an injury, pediatric pulp therapy might be necessary.

πŸͺ₯ We remind kids to keep up with their oral hygiene, and we ask parents to call us right away if their child has a mouth injury so we can help as soon as possible.

πŸ₯Ί We understand that going to the dentist can feel scary for kids. They do not go very often, so it feels unfamiliar, and having someone look in their mouth can be uncomfortable. It is normal for children to feel a little nervous before a visit.

πŸ₯° If your child’s nerves are stopping them from getting the dental care they need, it may be time to consider other options. That is why we offer sedation dentistry. It helps children feel calm during their visit, so they can have a better experience.

🩷 If you think sedation dentistry could help your child, let us know when you book your appointment or when you arrive. We want your child to have the best experience we can provide.

🦷 Root Canal Awareness Week is not just for adults. Today, we are answering a question we often get: Do children need root canal treatment, or is that just for adults?
🧐 With baby teeth falling out anyway, why treat an infected tooth?

πŸ‘‰ The answer is simple. First, it is the healthiest thing to do for your child.

Additionally, it keeps infection from spreading to other healthy teeth and into the gums. Another reason may be to repair a chipped or injured tooth, perhaps from horseplay or sports.

🩷 We recognize that children are different from adults and offer pulp therapy as a similar but alternative procedure that allows us to keep as much of the tooth's pulp in place without removing all of it, when possible. This keeps the procedure simpler and cost-effective.
