Our office has been a little quieter the last few weeks.

With incredibly heavy hearts, we said goodbye to our sweet office greeter, Lincoln.

If you’ve visited our office over the past few years, there’s a good chance you were welcomed by his giant smile, happy tail, and gentle heart. He had a way of making people feel at ease before they even sat in the dental chair. Whether he was greeting patients, soaking up belly rubs, or napping in his favorite spot, Lincoln made our office feel a little more like home.

To us, he wasn’t just the office dog. He was family.

The love and kindness so many of you showed him over the years meant more than you’ll ever know. Thank you for every treat, every scratch behind the ears, every photo, and every smile you shared with him.

Our hearts are broken, but we are so grateful for the years we had with our gentle giant. His paw prints will forever be a part of Koehn Dentistry & Aesthetics, and he will always be remembered by everyone lucky enough to know him.

Run free, sweet Lincoln. Thank you for loving us so well.

❤️🐾.

Our hearts are a little heavy right now, and we wanted to share an update on a very special member of the Koehn Dentistry & Aesthetics family.

Many of you know and love Lincoln. He has been there to greet you with a wagging tail, offer quiet comfort during nervous appointments, and bring smiles to both our patients and our team. He isn’t just our office dog. He’s family.

Yesterday afternoon, Lincoln became critically ill and had to undergo emergency surgery after a perforation in his intestine caused a severe infection. The surgeons were able to find and repair the source.

We are so thankful for the incredible veterinary team at Mission Veterinary Emergency & Specialty. A special thank you to Jordan, who truly advocated for Lincoln’s care throughout the night. We are forever grateful that the entire team pulled out all the stops, went above and beyond, and fought to save his life.

While we have seen some encouraging signs and his vital signs are stable, he still has a difficult road ahead. He continues to fight through sepsis, and every day is an important step in his recovery.

If Lincoln has ever made you smile, helped calm your nerves, or brightened your visit, we would be so thankful if you would keep him in your prayers. We are holding onto hope and believing that, with time, our sweet boy will be back where he belongs, sitting in the waiting room chairs like he too is waiting for his appointment, or asking you to hold his paw, making everyone who walks through our doors smile and laugh.

We know Lincoln has touched so many lives. Thank you for loving him as much as we do. ❤️🐾
