We had some brave helpers this morning coming in all by themselves! With covid, we love to encourage independence to limit numbers of people coming in and out of the office. Asher, 2, and Scarlett, 3, were setting a great example!

Happy (almost) Halloween! We would like to share a few tips to help avoid cavities this year.

-Sugars cause the mouth's pH to drop, making an acidic environment where cavities can occur. After eating a piece of candy the mouth can take around 30 minutes to get back to a neutral state. Try to designate one time to eat candy in a day, preferably right after a meal. Frequency of sugar exposure is the MOST important factor to prevent cavities!
-Not all candy is created equal! Chocolates dissolves easier and doesn't stick to the teeth as much as caramels or taffys. Lollypops also keep the teeth in contact with sugar longer than a candy that can be eaten quicker.
-Night time is the most important time to brush to prevent cavities! Make sure to brush before bed and do not have anything to eat or drink (besides water) after brushing.
-Brushing or having some water after having candy can also be helpful.

Enjoy your holiday and be safe everyone! What are your kids dressing up as this year?? We'd love to hear!
