This case was previously initiated by a general dentist. The general dentist found the or***ce to the MF2 but couldn’t navigate it. The dentist also had problems getting a proper working length on the palatal, likely due to the open apex.
I also had difficulty with the open apex… I got a good length with the LSX, but the Simplifil wouldn’t fit because of the irregular taper in the coronal half of the canal… because I didn’t want to remove excessive dentin, I decided to place an apical plug. As you can see I tried to compensate for a minor void but ended up with a separate minor void in the final obturation. No worries though, as the apical obturation is good! Look at the lateral canal on the MF2 canal!
