Here's a secret most parents don't know: summer is the best time to start Invisalign for your teen. 🦷✨ Why? Because the first few weeks of clear aligners take a little adjustment, and doing that during summer break (vs. during school) is WAY easier.

With Invisalign at Dale Pediatric Dentistry, your teen gets:
• Custom clear aligners, nearly invisible
• Freedom to eat anything (just remove them!)
• Easy to keep clean vs. traditional braces
• Regular check-ins with Dr. Dale

By the time school starts, they'll be adjusted and on their way to a straighter smile. 📲 Book a free Invisalign consultation; link in our bio!

Ever wonder what a day at Dale Pediatric Dentistry actually looks like? It starts early. The team arrives, preps each room, reviews every patient's chart, because no two kids are the same, and we want to be ready for yours.

Then the fun begins. Nervous first-timers who leave asking when they can come back. Kids who walk in like they own the place. High fives, prize chests, and a whole lot of smiling in between.

The moment your child has two teeth touching, it's time to floss. Yes, really. Most parents wait until kids are older, but by then, bacteria have already been building up in those tight spaces that brushing simply can't reach.

Here's the quick guide:
As soon as two teeth touch, start flossing between them. Around ages 6-8, start teaching them to do it themselves. By age 10, most kids can floss independently.

Not sure where to start? Ask us at your next visit; we'll show you exactly how to make it easy and fun for your child. Link in bio.

Kid breath… we all know it can get interesting sometimes. But persistent bad breath in children can actually signal something worth addressing. Common causes include:

-Improper brushing (missing the tongue!)
-Dehydration. Saliva is your mouth's natural cleaner
-Mouth breathing, especially at night
-Cavities or gum issues
-Certain foods (garlic, onion)

The fix? Better brushing + flossing, hydration, and a regular dental check-up to rule out any underlying issues. Save this and share it with a parent who needs to see it!

"They're just baby teeth… they'll fall out anyway." We hear this all the time, and it's one of the biggest myths in pediatric dental care.
Baby teeth hold space for permanent teeth, prevent shifting, and affect how your child eats, speaks, and sleeps. A cavity in a baby tooth can spread fast and impact the permanent tooth growing right underneath it.

Starting dental care early makes all the difference. We're here to help you get it right from the start.

Hear grinding at night from your child's room? Nocturnal teeth grinding (bruxism) is more common in kids than most parents realize, and it can wear down enamel, cause jaw pain, and disrupt sleep.

The good news: it's very treatable. At Dale Pediatric Dentistry, we can:
✔️ Evaluate whether grinding is a concern
✔️ Create a custom night guard if needed
✔️ Help identify triggers (stress, alignment, etc.)

Don't wait until there's visible damage. Book a check-up through the link in our bio and mention teeth grinding, we'll take a look!

Swipe to see how your child's favorite summer drink ranks for dental health. Summer + sugary drinks is a combo we see the results of every September. The good news? A few simple swaps (and rinsing with water!) make a big difference.

💾 Save this and share it with your summer playdate crew!
