Meet The Team Monday-
Michael J. Scherb, DMD, FAGD

Naturally, you want to know your dentist is well-trained and experienced. Dr. Scherb is a graduate of the University of Alabama School of Dentistry with a special award presented to him in restorative dentistry. He has practiced dentistry in the Jupiter area since 1989. He is a certified member of the American Dental Association, Florida Dental Association, and former president of the North Palm Beach County Dental Association.

He has been awarded Fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry, which requires over 500 hours of continuing education and the passing of a written exam.

He has completed all the continuums at The Pankey Institute for Advanced Dental Education and is currently one of the teaching faculty and serves on the board.

Dr. Scherb was granted Pankey Scholar status in 2002, an honor which has been conferred to only 60 doctors in the world. Other studies include The Concept of Complete Dentistry seminars with Dr. Peter Dawson, Predictable Dentistry seminars with Dr. Bill Strupp, Seattle Institute for Advanced Dental Education with Dr. Frank Spear, and numerous other courses with the world’s top clinicians.

He has been named one of the most outstanding dentists in Palm Beach County on numerous occasions.

Dr. Scherb has been a resident of Palm Beach County all his life. He is married to his lovely wife Dawn and has three children-Clinton, Jade, and Sen, and 2 grandchildren-Michael II and Avery. He would like to thank all of them for their inspiration.

Katherine A. Paulett, DMD

Dr. Paulett is a graduate of the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Dentistry, where she was awarded the Outstanding Leader Award by the American College of Dentists.

She completed an advanced education in general practice residency at the University of Nevada in Las Vegas. Her training focused on dental trauma and surgical techniques, including planning and placement of dental implants. She was awarded a certification in administration of moderate IV sedation.

She is a certified member of the American Dental Association, Florida Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, and the American Academy of Implant Dentistry. Dr. Paulett will be receiving her Fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry in June of this year. Fellowship requires a minimum of 500 hours of continuing education in addition to passing a written exam.

She is pursuing advanced education at The Pankey Institute by completing a four-part curriculum in comprehensive dental care, TMJ therapy, bite therapy and advanced esthetics.

Dr. Paulett is from Madison, Alabama where she was born and raised. She now resides in Palm Beach Gardens with her husband, Philip, and her golden retriever puppy, Cowboy! She enjoys concerts, going to the beach, and spending time with Cowboy.

Meet the Team Monday-
Kathy L. Jeffries
Dental Lab Coordinator

Kathy began her dental career in May 1998 here in our office after successful careers in nutrition, music, and the literary side of writing. She felt she needed a new challenge.

A chance mutual acquaintance would be the first step in a pilot program created by Dr. Scherb for the in-office lab. From that point on, the program has become more than Dr. Scherb or Mrs. Jeffries had envisioned and continues to grow on a daily basis.

Kathy’s official title is Dental Lab Coordinator, and she also manages all the clinical supplies, retail supplies, and maintenance issues in the office, as well as develops assorted pilot programs for the office.

Alex Smith, CDA
Dental Assistant

Alexandra “Alex” Smith, CDA born and raised in Lake Park Florida. In 2023, she went off to pursue a career in dental assisting. She received her certification from Florida Career College. She joined our team in January 2024 and has great enthusiasm for dentistry. Alex is dedicated to becoming the best assistant she can be as she loves taking on new challenges.

We are excited to have her on our team. She has an outgoing and caring personality and is guaranteed to make you not only feel safe but comfortable at your next dental visit. When she is not spending time with her family, she enjoys going to gym or just relaxing with a good book.

Claudia Agudelo, RDA
Dental Assistant

Claudia Agudelo received her Registered Dental Assistant Certification from Lincoln College of Technology in 2013. She was born and raised in Colombia and became a citizen of the United States in 2010. With Claudia’s drive for excellence and her willingness to learn the latest technologies in dentistry, you can be assured that you are going to be in good hands at your next dental visit.

Her dynamic and fun personality has brought great spirits to the office and is sure to be an added delight at your next appointment.
