Another day, another closure! Stay safe guys.

⚠️Full Day Closure at CBJ Facilities on December 31⚠️

City and Borough of Juneau (CBJ) facilities are closed today due to the hazardous road conditions this morning from the heavy snowfall accumulation overnight.

Please limit driving today where possible for your safety and the safety of others. We truly appreciate everyone giving our plow teams time and space to do their work.

The closure impacts all CBJ facilities and offices listed below, however, CBJ staff will continue to provide services remotely wherever possible.

CBJ Facilities Closed – December 31:

- All Juneau Public Libraries locations and the Juneau-Douglas City Museum are closed.

- All Juneau Parks & Recreation facilities are closed. This includes the Dimond Park Field House, Dimond Park Aquatic Center, Augustus G. Brown Pool, Treadwell Area and the Zach Gordon Youth Center. Shéiyi X̱aat Hit Youth Shelter remains open.

- City Hall, the CBJ Permit Center and all CBJ offices will be closed to the public but accessible by phone or email.

- The Juneau Recycling Center is closed today.

We’re closed today folks! Be safe and stay home.

*** ROADWAY SAFETY ALERT ***

If you can help it, please stay off the roads. Vehicles of all kinds, including plows, are getting stuck. It will take sometime for the roadways to clear up. My advice would be to stay home, and hunker down for the day. If you have any energy left after clearing some snow, find a good puzzle. Be safe!
