Supporting your child’s emotional well-being doesn’t have to be complicated. It starts with everyday conversations, giving them space to share and letting them know you see and hear them.

Every parent-child relationship is different. Find a way of communicating that works best for you and your child and remember that small moments of connection can make a big difference.

If your child is struggling with their mental health and support at home isn’t helping, lean on our Behavioral Health team. We’re here to help people of all ages find the support they need through resources, tools, and therapy.

Returning to school can bring up worries and fears for many kids. If your child is having a hard time adjusting, take some time to ask questions and listen to their concerns.

You and your child can then work together to find solutions, like asking their teacher for support in the classroom or role-playing situations that are causing them stress.

If support at home isn’t helping relieve their anxiety, lean on our behavioral health team for additional support. Give us a call at 573-632-2777 to schedule a visit.

It’s not easy being a school nurse! Between stomach bugs, sprained wrists, health screenings, and caring for students with chronic conditions – their work never ends.

A huge thank you from the team at Community Health Center to all the school nurses taking care of our kiddos this year. 🤍

It can be hard to know when your child is too sick to go to school. If your child has any of these symptoms:

· Temperature of 100.4 °F or higher

· Vomiting or diarrhea

· Severe coughing or wheezing

· Sore throat or swollen tonsils

It’s best to keep them home and visit their pediatrician as soon as possible.

Our pediatric team is always here to support you and your family. Give us a call at 573-632-2777 or stop by your local clinic for care.

Handwashing is an important part of keeping sickness at bay, especially during the school year.

Kids should wash their hands with soap and water every time they go to the bathroom, before and after meals, anytime they’re exposed to dirt or other grime, and every time they come in from playing outside.

Stay healthy! 🫶
