Behind every “Dr.” is years of dedication, sacrifice, and hard work that most people never fully see. 💙

With graduation season happening right now, it’s the perfect reminder of just how much goes into becoming a dentist.

Most dentists complete:
🦷 4 years of undergraduate college
🦷 4 years of dental school
🦷 Thousands of hours of studying, labs, and clinical training
🦷 Multiple national and regional board exams
🦷 Hands-on experience treating patients before ever practicing independently

And for many dentists, additional specialty training and residencies can add another 2–6+ years of education after dental school.

Behind every smile restored, cavity filled, or nervous patient comforted are years of anatomy classes, clinical exams, late nights, determination, and an incredible commitment to caring for others.

So this graduation season, we’re celebrating every dental student and dentist who put in the work to earn that title. 👏✨

Safe to say… it’s a little more than just “cleaning teeth.” 😉

Today, we remember and honor the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country. Their sacrifice is the reason we are able to enjoy the freedoms and moments with loved ones that we often take for granted. 🇺🇸❤️

From all of us at Jacksonville Family Dentistry, we are wishing everyone a safe, meaningful, and reflective Memorial Day surrounded by family and friends.

Our office will be back open on Tuesday.
