We thought it was going to be a normal day at Blue Wave Dental…

Patients checking in.
Phones ringing.
Teeth getting cleaned.
And then… MICHAEL MYERS WALKED THROUGH THE DOOR. 😭👀

No appointment.
No insurance card.
No explanation.
Just a mask, a whole lot of staring, and absolutely ZERO communication skills. 💀😂

Naturally, we had a few questions…

🦷 When was your last cleaning? Silence.
🪥 Do you floss regularly? More silence.
📋 Any changes to your medical history? Aggressive staring.
🎃 Would you like to schedule your six-month recall? Slowly turns head.

Honestly, we've had patients who were easier to get answers out of. 😂 But hey, at Blue Wave Dental, EVERY smile is welcome… even the ones hiding behind a terrifying Halloween mask! 👻🌊

16 years in dentistry. From Dental Assistant to Office Manager. And still just as obsessed with teeth. 🦷 For Office Manager Appreciation Month, we’re putting the spotlight on the woman helping keep all the moving pieces at Blue Wave Dental moving our amazing Office Manager, Rachael! 💙

Rachael’s dental journey started chairside as a Dental Assistant, where she spent many years caring for patients and learning the clinical side of dentistry. But eventually, curiosity kicked in…She didn’t just want to know what happened in the treatment room. She wanted to understand how the WHOLE practice worked. 👀🦷

Fast-forward to today, and as Office Manager, Rachael gets what she calls the best of both worlds:

🌊 Watching the practice grow
💙 Helping patients
🤝 Supporting her team
⚙️ Being involved in all the moving parts of dentistry
📈 Finding new ways to help the office succeed

When she isn’t keeping the office together, you’ll probably find her spending time with her kids, getting lost in a good book, building her latest LEGO creation, or enjoying time with family and friends. 📚🧱

🇺🇸 We remember. We honor. We will never forget.

Today, our dental family joins our nation in remembering the lives lost on September 11, 2001, the families forever changed, the first responders who ran toward danger, and the countless acts of courage, compassion, and unity that followed.

Twenty-five years later, we continue to remember the names, the stories, the sacrifice, and the extraordinary strength shown by Americans during one of our nation's darkest days. May we honor their memory not only through remembrance, but through kindness, service, unity, and gratitude for one another.

Today, we're celebrating the hardworking people who keep our communities moving, including the incredible team members who spend their days caring for patients and creating healthier smiles. This week, we are celebrating one of the smiling faces who helps keep Blue Wave Dental running smoothly, our amazing dental assistant, Amber! From calming nervous patients and assisting chairside to keeping the day full of positive energy, Amber brings compassion, dedication, and a smile to everything she does. She has a way of making patients feel comfortable, and teammates feel supported, and we're so grateful to have her as part of our dental family.

You confidently walk into an appointment, glance at the name on the schedule... and suddenly you're sounding out every syllable in your head. 😂
