Ever wonder why we take X-rays of your teeth at your dental appointment? Dental X-rays allow us to see between and inside your teeth. They not only help us see the condition of your teeth, but also the roots, jaw placement, and facial bone composition. X-rays can detect issues such as small areas of decay between your teeth, decay beneath fillings, cysts and other types of tumors, bone loss in the jaw from periodontal disease, abscesses, and more! The next time we ask you for dental X-rays, know that we are taking "X-tra" precautions to rule out dental problems before they become too serious or advanced.

We recommend supervising your children’s teeth brushing habits until they reach age 7-8! Make sure they are using the correct brushing technique, brushing in gentle circular motions along the gum line and the front, back, and chewing surfaces of teeth. Encourage kids to brush for at least two minutes, twice a day (morning and night time) to thoroughly clean their teeth. Night time brushing is essential ( most important) and after night time brushing - remember to floss and nothing to eat or drink ( except water). We encourage you to use a timer or play a fun song to make toothbrushing more enjoyable. Make it fun an enjoyable and part of a daily routine.
Circle Circle brushy, brush --- reaching the gum line, fronts of the teeth, tops of the teeth and the backs of all the teeth. Using a soft bristle brush. ***Brushing and Flossing twice a day helps keep those nasty little sugar bugs away :) Remember staying on regular 6 month dental cleaning and check up's is essential. We are accepting NEW PATIENTS here at Kid’s First Dentistry. We accept all PPO insurance plans. Remember the importance to stay on 6 month recall cleaning routines. Parents must assist and brush your child’s teeth morning & night. Make sure to go behind them, especially at night- time helping them reach the very back teeth (the molars). Floss your child’s teeth nightly to prevent cavities between the teeth. Reminder——Limit the candies and sugary drinks!
