The Importance of Teeth Cleanings...
Regular dental cleanings are an essential part of good oral hygiene. Besides keeping your teeth and gums healthy, a regular dental cleaning allows your dentist to get a look at what’s going on with your teeth so that issues like cavities or gingivitis can be treated early. By visiting your dentist every six months for a dental cleaning, you can keep your teeth and gums in tip-top shape and also avoid developing major dental problems between visits.
Teeth cleanings remove hardened plaque from your teeth along with stains and tartar that regular brushing and flossing are not able to remove. Plaque and buildup can only be removed with specialized dental tools.

Did you know 68% of adults have Tartar?
Tartar also known as dental calculus, starts out as the soft sticky film on your teeth called, Plaque. It forms at, underneath, and above the gumline and can irritate gum tissues. Because Tartar on teeth gives Plaque more surface area to grow on and a much stickier surface to adhere to, it can lead to cavities and gum disease.
Tarter is a lot harder to remove than Plaque! To help protect your teeth from Tartar be sure to Brush, Floss, and visit your dentist for your bi-annual Exam and Cleanings.
