Hastings’ smile journey is one we love to share! 😄✨
When she started treatment, Hastings had an open bite, which means her top and bottom teeth didn’t touch when she closed her mouth. This can affect everything from chewing to long-term tooth wear but with the right orthodontic care, it’s something we can beautifully correct!
If you look closely at her before photos, you’ll also notice small grooves along the edges of her teeth called mamelons. These are completely natural and most people have them when their adult teeth first come in. Over time, they usually wear down on their own with normal chewing but in some cases, they can still be visible after treatment.
Hastings took incredible care of her teeth every step of the way (it shows!! 👏), and at the end of her treatment, Dr. Sandifer gently contoured her teeth to smooth those edges giving her that polished, picture-perfect final smile.
Her transformation is not only beautiful, but a great example of how attention to detail and patient commitment make all the difference! 💙
