Healthy smiles start early. 🦷

Regular dental visits when kids are young do more than help keep their teeth healthy. They help build good habits, give us a chance to keep an eye on their developing smiles, and—just as importantly—help kids become comfortable at the dentist.

The goal? Make taking care of their teeth feel like a normal part of growing up.

Sometimes the before and after says it all.

The smile in that frame is where Codie started. The smile above it is where he is today.

A good dental visit is about more than clean teeth—it’s about feeling comfortable in the chair, too. 🦷

Our new hygienist, Michelle, is settling right in at Tedders Family & Implant Dentistry, and we love seeing her already making connections with some of our younger patients.

Regular dental visits help kids build healthy habits, but just as importantly, positive experiences when they’re young can help make taking care of their smile feel like a normal part of life.

A lot has changed since 2017.

That year, this building became the new home of Tedders Family & Implant Dentistry.

But Dr. Tedders' story in Jackson started long before we put our name on the sign.

For more than 25 years, he’s had the privilege of caring for people in this community—watching families grow, welcoming new generations of patients, and seeing plenty of familiar faces walk through the door.

And over the years, this building has become more than just where we work. A lot of conversations, laughs, new smiles and memories have happened inside these walls.

We’re proud to call Jackson home—and very grateful for all of you who have been part of the story.

“What’s the difference between a bridge and an implant?”

We get this question a lot—and the simplest answer is that they replace a missing tooth in two very different ways.

A bridge uses the teeth on either side of the space for support. A dental implant replaces the missing tooth with its own foundation, so it doesn’t rely on the neighboring teeth.

Is one always better than the other? Not necessarily.

It depends on your teeth, your bone, your overall oral health, and what makes the most sense for you long term.

That’s why Dr. Tedders starts with a conversation. He’ll look at what’s going on, explain the options, and help you understand the pros and cons of each.

Because the goal isn’t just to replace a tooth. It’s to choose a solution that makes sense for your smile.

This week gave us two fantastic reasons to bring out the flowers! 💐

We celebrated Michelle’s first official day as our new hygienist at Tedders Family & Implant Dentistry AND Heidi’s birthday! 🎉

We’re so excited to have Michelle join the team and can’t wait for our patients to get to know her.

And don't forget Heidi—our office administrator and the one who keeps all of us straight around here. 😄 We couldn’t let her birthday go by without celebrating her, too!

A new beginning and a birthday all in one day. We’d say that’s a pretty good reason for flowers. ❤️
