05/05/2020
We are excited to announce that we will reopen our office tomorrow May 6, 2020 with a limited schedule. We want to say thank you to our wonderful patients for your understanding and patience during this unique time.
As always our top priority is keeping our patients and staff safe and healthy, to ensure that we will continue to follow strict universal precautions in our office for infection control, based on the recommendations by the American Dental Association, U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration.
You may notice some changes at your next appointment that we have put in place to help protect you and our staff:
- We ask that every patient wait in their car and we will let you know when your treatment room is ready.
- We ask that any additional guests that might accompany you to your appointment remain in the car. Minors will be allowed to have one adult with them.
- Every patient will be screened at the door and your temperature will be checked.
- Hand sanitizer will be provided throughout our office and we ask that all patients use it upon entering our building.
- We have removed magazines and our complimentary toy box since these items are difficult to disinfect.
- Appointments will be managed to allow for social distancing between patients. This might mean that there are fewer options available for scheduling appointments.
- Our staff members will be wearing additional P.P.E. (Personal protective equipment) as a result of this our office thermostat will be kept cooler than normal so you might consider wearing a light jacket.
We strongly suggest delaying routine dental appointments if you are immuno-compromised or over the age of 65. This includes patients with a history of heart disease, lung disease, diabetes, or auto-immune disorders.
If you have experienced COVID-19 symptoms such as fever, shortness of breath, cough, gastrointestinal upset, headache, or recent loss of taste or smell, or if you have been in contact with someone who is suspected to have or has been confirmed positive for the virus, you need to postpone treatment.
We want to thank you all for your patience as we navigate during this difficult time!
