Dear Valued Patients and Friends,
I would like to personally thank each of you for your trust and confidence in allowing me to care for your dental needs. For 37 years, I have been blessed with a profession that allows me to create and sustain relationships with great people. Many of you have become close friends over the years.
It is after much prayer, thought, and consideration, that I am announcing my retirement. This has not been an easy decision as I will greatly miss work that I enjoy and my regular interaction with patients and staff. However, I know it is the right decision and I look forward to spending more time with family.
Ensuring that you, my valued patients and friends, continue to receive the best possible care has been my highest priority. As such, I am pleased to introduce the outstanding dental professional I have chosen as my successor, Dr. Erika Mendez. After meeting through mutual acquaintances, I have spent time getting to know Dr. Mendez. I have found her to be a kind, caring person with strong moral standards, who will serve your dental needs with the same excellence and consideration that she would her own family. My wife and I will be seeing Dr. Mendez for our own dental needs.
Dr. Mendez is a highly trained clinician and I fully trust her competence, skills, and experience. After graduating from the University of Texas at Dallas with a Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Dr. Mendez completed her dental education at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston School of Dentistry. She has advanced training in several aspects of restorative and cosmetic dentistry and strives to stay up to date with the latest techniques and technology to best serve her patients. Prior to joining our practice, Dr. Mendez practiced as an Associate dentist in Frisco for five years. I am confident that with her experience, training, and my mentorship, the practice will continue to offer the highest level of care. Dr. Mendez and her husband, Pedro, live in Prosper with their two daughters, Emma who is 4 years old and Isabella who is 2 years old.
My entire team has also met and is confident with the selection of Dr. Mendez. As of August 23, 2021, I will be working a more limited schedule, but will work with Dr. Mendez to complete current cases and ensure a smooth transition as she assumes ownership of the practice. All your records will remain with the office and, most importantly, all our wonderful dental team members will remain together with Dr. Mendez, to continue providing exceptional dental care and customer service.
Thank you again for your loyalty and trust over the years. It has truly been an honor and privilege to care for you and your families. Please join me in welcoming Dr. Erika Mendez!
