✨What a weekend this was!!! ✨

✨For the first time ever, the American Dental Association’s annual scientific session featured a lecture dedicated to Type 1 Diabetes and Oral Health. 🦷💙And I could not be prouder to have been part of making that happen. It was the very last lecture of the event, but we were there!

✨For the past two years, my family and I have worked tirelessly toward this moment. Not just because Type 1 diabetes affects those we love, or because we feel a responsibility to our dental profession, but because this is something that simply needs to be done. 💙🦷

✨When living with a chronic condition where sugar is literally medicine, oral health cannot be an afterthought. Dentistry deserves a place at the table as an integral part of the Type 1 diabetes care team.

✨This weekend was an important milestone, but our work is far from over.

✨I am incredibly proud of how far we’ve come, and even more determined about where we go from here.

✨My sincere thanks to the American Dental Association for providing this platform and recognizing the importance of this conversation. I hope this is the beginning of a lasting collaboration.🙏

✨We had the privilege of hosting UCLA dental students in our home as part of UCLA’s Dinner for 12 Strangers tradition, or actually 18! 💙💛
✨We are both proud graduates of the UCLA School of Dentistry 💛💙
UCLA gave us so much more than an education. It’s where we met, where our story began, and where the foundation was built for the careers and life we have today.
✨Sitting around our table with the next generation of clinicians, hearing their stories, their hopes, and what brought them to dentistry was incredibly special. It reminded us how grateful we are for the education we received, the people who shaped us along the way, our mentors, and the profession we feel fortunate to be a part of.
✨UCLA is where our story started. And this week, we got a glimpse of the stories that are just beginning. 💙💛 UCLA School of Dentistry

At night when your airway is obstructed and the tissues vibrate with snoring and then the airway closes, the oxygen drops and the body goes into ‘stress’ mode. Adrenaline surges. Heart races. Muscles tighten. You clench. 😬

Our story started 25 years ago at the UCLA School of Dentistry and somewhere between exams and late-night study sessions, our shared journey in began. 🦷
✨What started as two dental students with big dreams has grown into an established practice that is rooted in compassion, science, and creating the kind of place people truly feel is their “dental home.” 🙏🥰✨

✨We’re so grateful to walk this path together, and even more grateful for our incredible team who make it happen, and the patients who trust us with their smiles. 😍😀

✨We are profoundly grateful to serve this community and to walk this journey side by side.

✨✨20 YEARS✨✨

Today we celebrate Jamie, our office manager, the heartbeat of our practice, our constant, and - let’s be honest - our beloved Mama Jamie! 💕

For 20 years, she has cared for our patients like family, made sure every person who walks through our doors feels safe and welcome, and helped turn our practice into a place that truly feels like home. 💕

She remembers your name, your story, your kids, and probably your favorite restaurant. She listens, she cares, she mentors, and she does it all with kindness, calm and a smile.💕

She takes incredible care of our team, looking out and supporting, and always knows when someone needs encouragement, guidance or just a steady presence. Because of her, this isn’t just a workplace… it’s a family. 🙏

She’s the kind of person everyone calls a friend, and those closest to her are lucky enough to call her family. And we are blessed to share her with her husband and beautiful kids.

From the bottom of my heart, thank you Jamie for 20 years of caring, loyalty, dedication and love, for our patients, our team, and this practice. We are beyond grateful for you. 💐
