She told us she wanted her smile to feel fuller. Not bigger, not brighter than life — just more complete.

Her existing bridgework in the back never quite fit the way it should. Undersized, a little off in shape, and it left her smile looking narrower than it actually was. Every time she smiled wide, the corners went dark instead of looking complete.
So we rebuilt the whole picture. Wider arch, better proportions, edges that follow her lower lip the way they’re supposed to. Almost no prep on the natural teeth — we worked with what she already had rather than removing it.

The result is elevated, not obvious. Still her. Just elevated.

20 veneers. Almost no enamel removed.

Those two things sound like they can’t both be true — so let me explain how we got there.

This patient came in with years of wear and erosion. He wasn’t chasing a Hollywood smile. He wanted to protect what he had left, and he was firm that we keep enamel removal to an absolute minimum.

Here’s the part most people skip: we started with Invisalign, not a drill. Releasing his bite constriction moved the teeth into positions where minimal prep actually became possible. Orthodontics first meant we could preserve tooth structure instead of cutting our way to the result.

Then 20 upper and lower veneers to open his vertical dimension. In plain terms — we made the back teeth taller, which created the room to lengthen the front teeth without grinding anything down to get there.

The result is a bite that functions and protects, and happens to look natural doing it.

Would you have prepped this case differently? Genuinely curious what other clinicians would have done.

This veneer patient was insistent on keeping his case minimally invasive, with shaving kept to an absolute minimum.

He’s had a few years of wear and tear and erosion across his teeth and wanted to focus on protecting what he had left while also improving his esthetics.

I started his case by having him complete Invisalign to remove his bite constriction and to ensure the teeth were in the correct position to allow us to keep things minimal prep. With a combination of 20 upper and lower veneers to raise his bite, meaning making his back teeth bigger, to allow enough room to lengthen his front teeth.

The result? A natural looking, but most importantly, functional and healthy bite that will protect his underlying teeth. What do you think?

Officially a Kois Center graduate 🎓

Not every dentist does this. Less than 1% do. Five weeklong courses. Countless flights to Seattle. More hours (and dollars 😅) than I’d like to admit. But honestly? Worth every single one.

I opened The Tooth Co. because I believed dentistry could be done better — more predictable, more thoughtful, built to last. Kois gave me the science and the systems to back that belief up at the highest level.

Here’s to raising the bar — for my patients, my craft, and what dentistry can be. 🥂

The placement process, up close.

Every veneer is fitted and checked individually before bonding — that step is what separates results that look real from ones that don't.

This is the part most people never see.

This is probably the question I get more than any other, and honestly, the anxiety behind it makes sense.

For a long time, getting veneers did mean significant tooth shaving. That's not really where dentistry is anymore. We have techniques now that range from minimal prep to literally no prep at all, depending on the case.

The honest truth is that "no prep" is having a moment, but it's not right for everyone. The cases that look the most natural are the ones where the prep level matched the patient's actual teeth, not just a preference for what's trending.

This patient came to us unhappy with how her teeth were discoloring after bonding from years ago, and how there was a significant amount of erosion that needed to be fixed.

She was recommended several cosmetic dentists in the area but was unhappy with how fake their veneers looked, and found us and loved how natural looking our approach was. We did a combination of 24 upper and lower veneers to restore her smile, and most importantly, her confidence.

Choose your Dr. wisely 😉

Clara came in wanting a smile that looked like hers, just better.

She had crowding on her two front teeth and some uneven sizing that had always bothered her. Nothing dramatic, but enough that she thought about it every time she smiled in photos.

What you’re seeing here is a full porcelain veneer set, shaped to complement her natural features. The goal was always harmony, not a makeover. Her smile still looks like her.

Stephanie came to us wanting a better smile. What she got was one that finally felt like hers.

Her before wasn’t bad. But there were things that had always bothered her. Slight unevenness. Proportions that felt off. A smile she’d learned to be careful with.

We designed each veneer to work with her natural bite, her facial structure, and the way she actually smiles. Not a template. Not a standard shape pulled from a catalog.

This goes to show that small things do make a difference 🤭
