Just an update for our patients to keep you informed of some of the changes we are making while we are closed. We miss you and look forward to seeing you soon. We know that this period of lockdown and isolation has taken its toll on everyone. The world is a different place with a new set of realities.

No doubt you have had to make many changes at home, work and school. We too, with guidance from New York State, Monroe County, the American Dental Association and the NYS Dental Association have been busy making numerous changes and enhancements to the office and protocols to protect both staff and patients.

Waiting rooms have been re-organized to allow appropriate social distancing, with minimal usage expected.
Staff have been issued upgraded Personal Protective Equipment.
Our reception area has been protected with clear acrylic barriers.
Patient check-in and check-out has been streamlined to minimize time spent in the office area
We are very proud to announce the installation of a state of the art air and environmental purification system. The REME-HALO Guardian Air Purification System, which is made in the USA, has been installed on all three of our HVAC systems. It continuously purifies and disinfects the air and all surfaces the air contacts. It is rapidly effective on molds, bacteria and especially important, it is effective on viruses including coronaviruses. This is used in addition to our standard disinfection and sterilization routines.

We are preparing ourselves and the office to reopen with the best practices to provide the staff and you, our patients, with the most safe and secure environment possible. We will keep you updated with more information as our office nears an opening date.

Late this afternoon, the local chapter of the NYS Dental Association strongly recommended that all elective procedures be postponed. At this time, in order to comply we are notifying patients who have scheduled appointments during the effected time. Scheduled patients are being notified directly about any changes to their appointments. If you have a question about your appointment, or you have an urgent dental need, please call the office at 266-9220. The situation and guidance is changing daily and we are doing our best to stay current ensuring the safety and well being of your families and our staff.

In an effort to reduce the number of people in our reception areas we are limiting seating to patients only or accompanied by one person. We will ask any additional family members or friends to wait outside the office.
We appreciate the trust you put in us as your dental health care provider and the safety of our patients and staff are our top priority.

In the last couple weeks, you have been inundated with information about the Coronavirus situation and recommended measures to protect yourselves and your families. State, local and federal government agencies have issued guidelines which we are tracking and incorporating into our practices. In our office we started addressing the anticipated issues more than a month ago, by increasing orders of essential supplies to keep our office a safe place to have your needs met and a safe place for us to work.
It has been, and continues to be, our goal to maintain the highest level of practice to ensure the safety of our patients and staff at all times. To that end we will continue the work place practices that are designed to provide a safe environment. In addition we have instituted increased cleaning and dis-infection practices in both clinical and non-clinical areas of our facility. We will be using wipes on counter tops, phones, keyboards, door handles and other surfaces. We are taking guidance from the CDC, American Dental Association and local health authorities and adding our own additional steps to ensure the safety of your family and ours. We will be giving many of our waiting room toys and stuffed animals a much needed vacation. Our staff is being updated and trained in new information as it becomes available.
As health care providers it is not only our obligation to maintain a safe environment, but also to continue seeing our patients and meeting their health care needs.
When you arrive for an appointment you will be asked questions about travel, potential exposure and your general health. Please understand that we are trying to participate in the effort to control the spread of the virus. We love to see you but if you do not feel well, please call our office to reschedule your appointment. The staff as well is being asked to stay home if they are ill to ensure everyone’s safety.
We will get through this together, making every effort to control the spread of the Coronavirus in our community. The doctors and staff wish you and your family well and continued health.
