In the last couple weeks, you have been inundated with information about the Coronavirus situation and recommended measures to protect yourselves and your families. State, local and federal government agencies have issued guidelines which we are tracking and incorporating into our practices. In our office we started addressing the anticipated issues more than a month ago, by increasing orders of essential supplies to keep our office a safe place to have your needs met and a safe place for us to work.
It has been, and continues to be, our goal to maintain the highest level of practice to ensure the safety of our patients and staff at all times. To that end we will continue the work place practices that are designed to provide a safe environment. In addition we have instituted increased cleaning and dis-infection practices in both clinical and non-clinical areas of our facility. We will be using wipes on counter tops, phones, keyboards, door handles and other surfaces. We are taking guidance from the CDC, American Dental Association and local health authorities and adding our own additional steps to ensure the safety of your family and ours. We will be giving many of our waiting room toys and stuffed animals a much needed vacation. Our staff is being updated and trained in new information as it becomes available.
As health care providers it is not only our obligation to maintain a safe environment, but also to continue seeing our patients and meeting their health care needs.
When you arrive for an appointment you will be asked questions about travel, potential exposure and your general health. Please understand that we are trying to participate in the effort to control the spread of the virus. We love to see you but if you do not feel well, please call our office to reschedule your appointment. The staff as well is being asked to stay home if they are ill to ensure everyone’s safety.
We will get through this together, making every effort to control the spread of the Coronavirus in our community. The doctors and staff wish you and your family well and continued health.
