💜 2026 Ionia Free Fair Woman of the Year Nominee #3 💜

Today we are excited to introduce our third 2026 Ionia Free Fair Woman of the Year Nominee, Beth Milewski!

Beth is a dedicated community volunteer who believes everyone has something valuable to give. As she shared during her interview, "Not everyone has treasure, but everyone has talent." That philosophy has guided her lifelong commitment to serving others and strengthening the community she proudly calls home.

Beth has been involved with numerous organizations throughout Ionia, including the Ionia Community Library Foundation, Ionia Community Library Board, Ionia Community Awareness, Band Boosters, the Local Development Finance Authority, and many other community initiatives. She was also one of the four founders of Meander on Main, a downtown event that has raised more than $15,000 while supporting local businesses and bringing the community together.

The Ionia Free Fair has been part of Beth's life since she was young. Some of her favorite memories include attending the Fair with family, helping in the 4-H food booth, and spending time connecting with friends and neighbors throughout Fair week. Today, she continues to give back by volunteering with the Fair and serving as a Ladies Day judge.

Growing up with strong examples of service through her family, church, school, and community, Beth learned at an early age the importance of helping others. She shared that she is most proud of being a lifelong Ionia County resident who has been able to invest her time and talents into making her hometown an even better place to live.

Being nominated for Woman of the Year is an honor to Beth. She shared that simply being nominated alongside so many incredible women already feels like a win. When asked what advice she would give her younger self, her answer was simple: "Don't sweat the small stuff. Be a good person, and do the right thing, even when it's hard."
