Have you ever noticed this blue glue during your orthodontic appointment? 👀💙

This blue material is a special dental cement we use for a few different things in orthodontics. One of its most common uses is creating bite blocks (also called bite turbos or buildups).

So, what are bite blocks? 🤔

Bite blocks are small buildups placed on certain teeth to keep your upper and lower teeth from fully touching. This helps:
🦷 Correct your bite as your teeth move.
🦷 Prevent you from accidentally biting down on and breaking a bracket.

The good news? They’re only temporary! 🙌 Once your bite has corrected, we’ll remove them as part of your orthodontic treatment. ✨
