Friday at the Blue Room: a debut and a legend.
5:30 PM — Indigo Hour: Sir James Atwood & The Collective
A Blue Room first! Jazz-and-soul vocalist Sir James Atwood makes his debut on our stage with his band The Collective. High-impact, impassioned, free — and the seats go fast on debut nights.
8:30 & 10 PM — David Watson
They call him the Doctor of Bebop. He poured drinks for Miles and Trane at Philly's Showboat Jazz Theater before the music claimed him, recorded with Dizzy's drummer and Sonny Rollins' bassist — and two weeks past his 89th birthday, he's headlining Friday night.
$10 for one show, $15 for both. Indigo Hour is free.
