A question that I have been asked throughout my 15 yrs of practice. Well, my inspiration came after breaking my front teeth when I was 14 yrs old. Going through the process of getting them fixed became the foundation for finding my calling. I personally know what dentistry can do for one's self-esteem and thank God that he saw fit to allow me to be able to help others in the same way.

April is oral cancer awareness month and these are some facts you may not know about oral cancer:

1. While oral cancer can affect any age group, about 95% of all oral cancer cases are in individuals over the age of 40.

2. 1 in 4 of individuals diagnosed with oral cancer did not have any risk factors.

3. Oral cancer is twice as common amongst men as it is in women.

4. The death rate for oral cancer is much higher than other cancers.
