Shopping for your child’s toothbrush? 🪥 Don’t choose based on the age printed on the package alone.
One of the most important things to consider is size.
Children have smaller mouths, so a toothbrush head that’s too large can make it difficult to comfortably reach behind the back molars and clean other tight areas. A smaller brush head can often make brushing easier and more effective.
The age ranges you see on toothbrush packaging can be a useful starting point, but children don’t all grow at the same rate. Comfort and fit matter more than the number on the box.
An easy check? Watch how the toothbrush moves around your child’s mouth. If it seems bulky or has trouble reaching those back teeth, try going down a size.
Sometimes better brushing starts with something as simple as having the right tool for a little mouth. 💛
