BIG NEWS INCOMING!!

My name is Dr. Ryan Shipp and I am thrilled to be able to join the team at Allen Dental! My love for dentistry began when I lived in a small town on the Texas-Mexico border where I worked at a pediatric dental clinic. It was my first experience seeing a child attempt to hide her teeth whenever she smiled. When I saw what dentistry did for her in restoring her confidence, I realized that was the career I wanted to pursue. Since then, I have had the privilege of working with so many incredible patients with a wide range of dental needs.
When my wife, Corynn, and I were determining where we wanted to lay down roots, call home, and raise a family, a friend suggested looking into Idaho Falls. Since visiting this part of Eastern Idaho, we haven’t looked back. We love camping, the mountains, riding horses, and anything that gets us outside.
My goal has always been to provide exceptional dentistry to as many people that are looking for it. Meeting Dr. Allen and his team was the perfect fit because of how much they care about their patients. To be part of a practice that has had so much trust put into it is a privilege for me to be a part of. Maintaining and continuing to build that trust is the pursuit of my career. I look forward to meeting everyone that puts their trust in this remarkable team.

What are some of Idaho Falls hidden treasures we can share with Dr. Shipp??

MEET DR. ALLEN!! He has some exciting news for our patients….

I began practicing dentistry in Idaho Falls 18 years ago. Over the years, it has been a rewarding experience that has allowed me to work alongside many outstanding team members and care for thousands of patients.
My wife, Stacey, and I have loved calling Idaho Falls home while raising our four children. This community has given so much to our family, and we feel fortunate to have built deep roots through friendships, schools, church, sports, and the many relationships that come from living and serving in this area. Being part of this community has made practicing dentistry here especially meaningful.
This June, I am pleased to welcome Dr. Ryan Shipp to our practice as we continue the tradition established by Dr. Jay Harris, who founded the practice in 1978. From the beginning, our focus has been on two core principles: providing excellent dental care and creating an environment where patients come first.
We have always worked to foster a culture of trust, comfort, and kindness. We are grateful to care for many multigenerational families, and it has been especially rewarding to build lasting relationships with our patients while helping them maintain their oral health. Many of our patients are connected through family and friendships, which speaks to the trust they place in us. Serving this community and building those relationships has been one of the most fulfilling parts of my career.

Our Dental hygienists just came back from continuing ed courses and here are some fun facts about why smiling is good for you.
Reduces stress. People who smile after a stressful task have a lower heart rate than those who keep a neutral facial expression!

It’s contagious! You’ve heard smiling is contagious, but when someone sees you smile, their brain fires up neurons that mirror a similar response. It’s like they are smiling as well!
