Being confident in your smile is very important to me.

I have had A LOT of clients come in with some very high expectations for teeth whitening based on social media posts they have seen.

This is hard for me as a dental professional because results aren’t guaranteed with teeth whitening.

Everyone is different in their genetic makeup and daily habits. Your teeth are directly effected by those.

Something most people don’t know about me is a I have a bachelor’s degree in art. So when I see posts that have filtered photos of bleached teeth it drives me bonkers 🤪

An easy way to know if the results are exaggerated is check the gums. If the gums are warm tones in the BEFORE PICTURE and cooler tones in the AFTER PICTURE than they are exaggerated. It’s that simple.

Don’t fall for it friends!

I am always surprised to find out that a lot people still use medium-firm toothbrushes.

Soft toothbrushes are recommended because they are safe for the enamel and safe for your gingival tissue.

When brushing with a medium-firm toothbrush you can cause recession to the gums (exposing the root of the teeth), wear in the enamel over time, and abrasion or wear to the dentin (outer layer of root surface).

When the enamel is worn thinner due to aggressive brushing or use of abrasive agents (baking soda, charcoal, or even over-use of whitening toothpastes), the enamel begins to show the underlying layer of tooth (dentin). The dentin is a darker yellow. This isn’t ideal for having a bright-white smile.

Recession and wear to the dentin puts you at a greater risk for decay on the root surface of your teeth.

As a dental hygienist, I beg you to break the habit and switch to soft tooth brush. It can feel like your not getting clean enough at first but it is just because your gums are used to overstimulation. With time they will adjust to the soft toothbrush.

Hey friends, it’s been a while… story of my life 😂

I got my family pictures back from and she did amazing, so I thought what better time to take a minute and say 👋.

My name is Heidi. I am the mother of 3 beautiful girls and married to my best friend, although I have been asked if he was my son 🤣😅… I love anything out doorsy (skiing, snowboarding, swimming, boating, hiking).

I’ve always been obsessed with teeth in the most not weirdest way 😜

I enjoy being a dental hygienist but found myself wanting to change things up a bit. I noticed a lot of people doing teeth whitening that had very little experience. I decided I should offer teeth whitening because 1- obsessed with teeth 2- I am a dental professional and 3- I love making people feel good about themselves.
