Dear Ballard Dental Family,
After much consideration, I would like to share an important update regarding my professional role at Ballard Dental Associates.
Due to ongoing issues with my thumb and having had three surgeries, I have made the difficult decision to partially retire from the clinical practice of general dentistry. While this was not an easy decision, my physical limitations no longer allow me to comfortably and consistently perform the hands-on procedures required in traditional clinical dentistry to the level you deserve.
I want to assure you that this does not mean I am leaving Ballard Dental Associates. I will continue to retain ownership of the practice and remain actively involved in its direction and future. As many of you know, Dr. Alley has been with us since 2013 and Dr. Kirsis since 2022 providing excellent care. We are also fortunate to have an outstanding team of which many have been with Ballard Dental Associates 19+ years. We will also continue to provide the highest level of care through state-of-the-art equipment and continuing education.
However, I will continue providing therapy in areas where I can remain clinically active, specifically the treatment of sleep apnea and myofascial pain, including temporomandibular joint (TMJ/TMD) disorders. We are able to utilize computer technology to evaluate nasal and pharyngeal airways to maximize an individuals’ success as an alternative to a CPAP/BiPAP when indicated. These areas of practice are deeply important to me, and I look forward to continuing to help patients improve their health, comfort, and quality of life.
I am incredibly grateful for the trust, loyalty, and relationships I have built with my patients and our community over the years. It has been a privilege to serve you, and I am proud of the dedicated team at Ballard Dental Associates who will continue provide excellent dental care.
Although my role is changing, my commitment to Ballard Dental Associates and to the well being of our patients remains strong. I look forward to this new chapter and to continuing to serve our community in the areas where my experience and expertise can have the greatest impact.
