But real talk. Just got back from the office to go in for something that is very simple for us as dental professionals, but can be very bothersome and urgent for our patients (and therefore even moreso for their parents)! Can some things wait? Absolutely. But I’ve been that patient that had insane pain, called the drs office middle of the night, and was told that I had to deal with it and the doctor would review my issue in the morning when she came at 9AM 🫠 this was at 39 weeks pregnant 🥲 I was pi**ed. I was sobbing. I felt so abandoned.

Some people commented on our previous video about gloves! Can you believe it wasn’t THAT long ago that dentists weren’t using gloves? 🤮

It’s also nuts that in this day and age, some companies ration gloves for their clinicians and techs. This is a true story about another large company that I left 😅 Like I get that dentistry is wasteful in general… but come on. Cost cutting shouldn’t mean cutting corners where it counts.

This week is Hospital Week!

We’re proud to be one of the few pediatric dental practices in the Austin area with privileges at not just one, but both major children’s hospitals ( and ) — allowing us to continue caring for patients who may need treatment in a hospital setting for medical, behavioral, sensory, or age-related reasons. And Yes, that means that it’s still the same clinical team you and your kiddos are familiar with!! Dr. Amy, Alejandra, Angelica and Holly travel to be able to care for your kiddos!

A little late posting because today was spent exactly how I wanted it to be — being present.

Writing this while laying next to my boy after he finally fell asleep because the storm scared him, and feeling so grateful that I get to be his safe place. Motherhood is beautiful, hard, emotional, exhausting, and deeply special all at once.

What a sweet event by at for Mother’s Day! Kaylie did a great job with everything start to finish. While it’s certainly artistic and subjective, it was so interesting to learn about the basics of making an arrangement. There’s definitely balance and structure, all while having free-flowing freedom to create something unique! Much. Harder. Than it looks!!

This was the day I quit my first corporate dental job; immediate resignation. When safety standards were clearly optional, it was a clear sign to bounce ✌️ (there were plenty of other issues too, but hard no here)

This was a core memory that has driven me to want to build something different. Because patients and team members deserve so much better than that. Don’t worry, we have a ton of sterilized handpieces at our office 🤣
