I grew up generally disliking my birthday bc the same girl always made me cry at my bday parties 🤣 I’ve often tried to write them off as just another day, but between these ladies, Mr. Ken and Phavana Siharath , lol they just won’t have it!

While today was extra special and I truly felt the love (and the hilarious nonsense), I’m thankful for such a wonderful group of people that support me and each other day in and day out, birthday or not.

Not every kid loves to brush, and that’s pretty normal! Here are just a few tips we share with parents to try and help!
:
Tip 1 - Forced Choices: do you want the yellow or blue toothbrush? Do you want strawberry or watermelon toothpaste? Do you want to brush first, or me? Brushing itself shouldn’t be an option, but giving them a little autonomy in how it happens can help!
:
Tip 2 - let them help prepare the toothbrush, but ultimately still only use that rice grain size of paste for under 3 and pea sized for 3+
:
Tip 3 - brush together, bc you know they love doing things that you do!
:
Tip 4 - use a second brush instead of taking theirs. Bc lawd only knows that if you take something away from them, it becomes a power struggle 😅 You can either take turns or brush at the same time that they are since their mouth will be open already!
