WE'RE HIRING!!

We’re looking for a friendly, energetic, and detail-oriented individual to join our Front Office staff, as Julie who has been with us for 15+ years will be retiring in May. This is a part-time position (3 days a week: Monday – Wednesday).

Responsibilities include; answering phones and scheduling appointments, checking patients in and out, processing insurance reimbursements, taking payments, and assisting with various office duties

We're looking for a cheerful, energetic and fun personality with strong people skills, excellent organizational and communication abilities and a team oriented attitude. Dental experience is a plus, but not required - we're willing to train the right person.

Pay starting at $19/hr, depending on experience.

We have a fantastic team environment, with a welcoming and supportive atmosphere.

Spotlight on Dr. Yoder

Dr. Benjamin Yoder has been with Downtown Dental since March of 2023 after Dr. Terry Baker filled in as a substitute dentist following Dr. Matt Eckert's unfortunate stroke. He recently increased his time at Downtown Dental from three days to four and intends to continue practicing long term at this location.

Dr. Benjamin J. Yoder is the son of Drs. Keith and Karen Yoder. He graduated from Snider High School, Goshen College, and Indiana University School of Dentistry in 1996 and began his practice with Yoder Rahrig Family Dentistry. In 1998, Dr. Yoder became Dental Director of the Neighborhood Health Clinic (NHC), a Federally Qualified Health Center in Fort Wayne providing comprehensive care for the uninsured while remaining at Yoder Rahrig Family Dentistry part-time. After eight years with NHC, he returned to Yoder Rahrig Family Dentistry full-time until 2022 when he chose to sell his practice to allow for additional time with other endeavors. He and his wife Retta purchased a circa 1892 church in Columbia City and converted it into the Shops @ the Sanctuary, an upscale home decor and more store with approximately 40 vendor artisans and a cafe.

Since the beginning of Dr. Yoders career, he has always been an active and respected member of the local dental society, State dental association and the American Dental Association. He currently serves as Trustee for the dental community and participates on the council on public health as well as the infant care subcommittee promoting the importance of the age one dental visit for kids. When he is not at Downtown Dental, Dr. Yoder enjoys traveling, creating custom furniture pieces for the store and spending time with his wife Retta and children Ellis, Grace, Zeta, Trevyn, and Tyce.
