My office in Moscow, Russia… where my journey in dentistry truly began.

I was only 21 years old when I became a dentist — young, ambitious, full of dreams, and already deeply in love with this profession.

In this photo, my older sister is sitting as my “patient,” and her 5-year-old son is proudly playing the role of the dentist. A sweet family moment, but also such a meaningful memory for me.

Looking back now, I see more than just an old photo. I see the beginning of a lifelong passion, years of learning, hard work, growth, and love for dentistry.

From Moscow to where I am today, this profession has shaped my life in so many beautiful ways.

Some memories remind us exactly where we started — and how far we’ve come. ❤️

I learned from the best at UPenn’s Endodontic Department, and I am deeply grateful for that knowledge.

What is especially important to me, as someone with a periodontal background, is that endodontic knowledge helps me look at a tooth as a whole — not only the canals, but also the periodontium, the periodontal ligament, bone support, function, and long-term prognosis.

In today’s dental economy, many older molars are often extracted too quickly and replaced with implants or more expensive procedures. But when a natural tooth can still be saved, I believe it deserves that chance.

Sometimes it takes more time, more patience, and more clinical judgment. But even if that tooth functions for another 5 or 10 years, it is still the patient’s own tooth — with its periodontal ligament, proprioception, and natural biological value.

This is why the knowledge from the Endodontic Department is so important to me. It helps me make better decisions, preserve more teeth, and provide treatment that is truly in the best interest of the patient.

Tonight was more than just a black-tie event… it was a moment of history, identity, and deep connection.
Surrounded by elegance, art, and extraordinary people, I felt something much stronger than celebration — I felt pride. Pride in my roots, in my culture, and in the resilience of the Armenian spirit that continues to live through

I meet Michael Aram, whose work beautifully reflects Armenian heritage through art and design, and Dr. James Bagian, a Thomas Jefferson graduate, NASA astronaut, and a remarkable figure in advancing patient safety. It was also inspiring to learn about leaders like the Vice President of Production at Pixar Animation Studios, whose work continues to shape storytelling on a global level. Being in the presence of such accomplished individuals was truly unforgettable.
With recognition and support of our community, and even acknowledgment from the Governor, this evening felt like something bigger than all of us — a bridge between past, present, and future.

Being an Armenian woman means carrying that story with strength, dignity, and beauty.
Tonight will stay with me — as a reminder of who we are.
We remember.
We honor.
We continue. 🖤

April 24, 1915 — a day we remember with heavy hearts.
Today, I feel deep gratitude that more and more people around the world understand, acknowledge, and stand with us.

I’m especially touched that many of my patients and friends here in the United States are becoming more knowledgeable about the Armenian Genocide.
Receiving flowers from one of them on this day meant so much to me — a simple yet powerful gesture of respect and compassion.

Your kindness and understanding mean more than words can express. 🌹🇦🇲

April 24 is a day we will never forget.
A day of remembrance of the Armenian Genocide…
when more than 1.5 million of our people were brutally killed.
A day of pain that echoes through generations.
I am a descendant of survivors.
My grandparents were only 13–14 years old
when they fled from Turkey with their families, trying to save their lives.
They survived…
so that I could live. So that we could remember.
I am proud to be Armenian.
And I carry this memory — in my heart, in my traditions, in what I pass on.
As I prepare for one of the largest Armenian events in Philadelphia on April 25,
I decided to express this through a small but deeply personal detail — my nail design.
1915 — a year that can never be forgotten.
A small black heart — a symbol of pain beyond measure.
The cross — a symbol of our faith.
Armenia was the first Christian nation in the world.
And for this faith, our people endured immense suffering and loss…
The forget-me-not flower — a symbol of remembrance.
A reminder that we must never forget. Ever.
I wanted to create not just a beautiful design —
but meaning, history, and memory…
And a very talented girl brought this idea to life 🤍

Sometimes patients come in… and they’re not sure which tooth was treated before.

And you know what… that’s okay.

They trust us to remember.
They trust us to know.

And that’s why I take charting so seriously.

Because behind every tooth…
there’s a person, a story, a moment of trust.

Memory can be confusing…
but documentation is something we can rely on.

Before I touch anything, I always go back, I check, I understand…
because I never want to guess when it comes to someone’s smile.

For me, dentistry is not just about fixing teeth…
it’s about being precise, being honest, and respecting that trust.

Because true care… is in the details.” 💫
