One of my favorite procedures is delivering implant crowns. And we did a lot of that today 🙏This case is particularly exciting— a failed bridge left a big missing space on the upper right for this patient. We completed this case start to finish from implant placement to crown delivery here in the office. Dental implants are a common procedure we offer and we do our best to make it a simple and painless process!

We had an awesome weekend of continuing education at the UMKC School of Dentistry Midwest Dental Conference. The whole team learned lots of great things. I’m especially excited to be growing my expertise in implant retained over-dentures. Over-dentures are an incredible option for patients struggling with loose or ill fitting dentures! We will be OPEN regular hours Thursday April 16th. Our dental units run on purified bottled water.

We will also have one truck bed of bottled water for anyone in Humboldt who needs any. They will be in front of the office at 8am. Please stop by and take a case if you could use some!

This is a procedure we do start to finish in office. (No specialist visits or traveling out of town needed) It’s called an overdenture. Many denture wearers are happy with their top denture but find the lower to be frustrating because it just won’t stay put.
For this patient we placed two implants to hold the lower denture securely in place. This stability is really a game changer! The lower denture snaps in and connects to these implants and is held securely- actually it can be a little difficult to remove 😬. In this case we made brand new dentures- but in some cases I can even convert your existing dentures and attach them to implants!
The implants are installed with local numbing medicine- the same stuff used for fillings, and the procedure is relatively pain free!
