Differences in upper and lower arch width is known as crossbite, which can contribute to difficulty chewing and brushing as well as TMJ problems. This patient's crossbite was corrected with a widener and elastics.

Interceptive phases of treatment can be essential for some patients! In this case, the patient's severe crowding and deep bite were treated and a final phase is planned to further align and correct the bite.

A great case for traditional braces! With severe crowding and arch width discrepancies, clear aligners would be impractical. We used conservative care with wide arch wires for the upper and lower braces.
In treatment and excellent progress so far!
