We met at Baylor College of Dentistry in 2006. We fell in love, got married, and after graduating we moved to Houston, Dr. Mouzi’s hometown. Her family is here, Dr. Escobedo’s family is in South Texas, and coming back to Houston was a good fit for us.

We’ve been practicing in Houston for 10 years, and we wanted to build a practice together at Montrose Dental & Orthodontic Studio. Caring for our community and our family is the dream we’re building it around.

Everyone who walks into our Montrose dental office comes with a different story and their own reasons for being here, including wanting their teeth straightened. Having Dr. Mouzi in the office helps Dr. Escobedo give each orthodontic patient the best possible smile.

Last night, our Hyde Park neighbors came together for National Night Out, hosted by the East Montrose Civic Association! 🤍

We stepped outside and spent the evening with the people who live and work around us. We raffled a whitening treatment, handed out goodie bags, and met a lot of new people from the neighborhood.

Thank you to Patterson Dental for donating items for the goodie bags, and to Invisalign for the Tiny Boxwood cookies. Your generosity made the night feel warm and welcoming.

National Night Out is about neighbors getting to know each other, and we're grateful to the East Montrose Civic Association for bringing everyone together.

That starts the moment you walk in. You're greeted by name by Laura at the front desk, a friendly face rather than a kiosk, because being met by a person matters, especially when you're a little nervous.

The reason we take our time is simple. Dentistry is how we get to help people, and you can't help someone you haven't taken the time to know.

So your first visit runs about an hour and a half, and none of it feels hurried. You can settle in first, finish any paperwork with a drink in hand, even out on the balcony if you like.

When you're ready, our assistant walks you back and explains exactly what's ahead, so nothing catches you off guard. Then Dr. Mouzi looks closely, explains what she sees in plain language, and answers your questions before any plan is made.
