Dr. Theriot spent the past five days in Indianapolis representing the 15th District and Texas as a delegate at the American Dental Association House of Delegates.

Serving as a delegate involves countless hours of preparation, reviewing resolutions, discussing policy, and working alongside colleagues on decisions that shape the dental profession and the care we provide to our patients.

One particularly important issue this year involved pediatric sedation guidelines. Through dedicated advocacy, fellow dentists and the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry worked to protect children and prioritize patient safety.

Dr. Theriot believes that caring for patients extends beyond the walls of her practice. Her commitment to organized dentistry and advocacy is one way she works to advance the profession, protect young patients, and help shape the future of pediatric dental care.
