"Houston's Premiere Endodontic Practice is Roots®️" Dr. Shadi Abedin was raised in Houston, TX and graduated from The Kinkaid School.

She attended Washington University in St. Louis and received a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Spanish with a minor in photography. After receiving her Doctorate of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from New York University College of Dentistry, Dr. Abedin continued her education at Boston University, where she completed a one year Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) residency followed by a 2

year Endodontic residency. Dr. Abedin was awarded a Certificate in Advanced Graduate Study (CAGS) in Endodontics from Boston University Goldman School of Dental Medicine. Dr. Abedin has been practicing endodontics since 2010 and is an active member of the American Association of Endodontists (AAE), the American Dental Association (ADA), and the Houston Academy of Endodontists (HAE). Her passion lies in endodontics and her first priority in dental practice is providing quality comprehensive care for each patient. Dr. Abedin’s personal interests include traveling, swimming, and photography as well as spending time with her family and friends.

Never judge a tooth by its radiograph. This molar had all the classic signs of a vertical root fracture on the pre-op image, but I couldn’t see one clinically from the occlusal surface, so I accessed the tooth to investigate further.🕵🏻‍♀️ To my surprise, no fracture was found.

Instrumentation was no walk in the park. All four canals had extremely narrow apical thirds, requiring meticulous hand instrumentation before rotary files could be safely introduced. Despite the challenge, I’m really pleased with the final result. 😅

I’ll reevaluate in 6 to 9 months to monitor bone healing. Fingers crossed for continued success.

Just wrapped up a challenging but rewarding root canal today! This one presented quite the anatomical puzzle with those super narrow and curvy MB and ML canals. Required significant hand filing to navigate before I could even bring in the rotary tools. Thrilled with the precision and outcome! 🦷✨

I'm so pleased with the outcome of these cases! I successfully completed two root canals on adjacent teeth 30 & 31, both presenting with intricate anatomy and difficult numbing due to pulpal inflammation. Thrilled with the outcome and the healthy smiles I'm building, one root at a time! 🦷🧚🏻‍♀️
