From all of us at Say Ahhh! Pediatric Dentistry, we wish you a fun and safe Cinco de Mayo! 🌮🎉🦷

Contrary to common belief, Cinco de Mayo is not Mexico’s Independence Day. 🇲🇽✨

It commemorates the Mexican army’s victory over French forces at the Battle of Puebla on May 5, 1862. At the time, France invaded Mexico during a period of financial crisis, aiming to establish control over the country. Despite being smaller and less equipped, Mexican forces led by General Ignacio Zaragoza achieved an unexpected victory.

Today, it represents resilience, unity, and the strength that comes from cultural pride and community coming together in the face of adversity.
