I have served amputees' needs for over 30 years in the Houston area as an ABC Certified Prosthetist and Physical Therapist. This unique combination has led me to specialize in Lower Limb prosthetic devices, Multiple Limb amputees, and challenging cases. Working with TIRR/Memorial Hermann and the Shriner's Hospitals has allowed me to fit more amputees than any prosthetist in the area. My personal a

ttention can be counted on in my approach to amputee rehabilitation. Patients are treated with individual consideration, respect, and knowledge of their condition.

When Benjamin’s Mom called me on a Friday evening and asked if we could make him a mask to protect his jaw while playing soccer I replied, “We’ve never done that, but let me do some research.”

We collaborated Monday morning and came up with a mask that seems to be working out nicely, giving him the confidence and protection to get back on the field doing what he loves.
To make it even more meaningful, we incorporated a special tribute to his grandfather by including his memorial date ,a reminder that he’ll always carry his biggest supporter with him, every step and every game.

At Holmes Prosthetic Center, we believe every device should tell a story. This one is about resilience, family, and playing with heart.

This morning, our team at HPC was provided the opportunity by Otto Bock to participate in a Prelaunch education session that was only offered to a couple of select customers. Myo Smart, is their new myoelectric control system that recently received FDA clearance. It was a 2 part learning opportunity. Part 1 was done online through MyLearning. Part 2 was the in person portion of the education and was provided by Dana Schack, CPO/L. 💪🦾

Less than 2 months after receiving his prosthetic limbs, John, a quadrilateral amputee, is already back at some of his previous activities. His determination, and confidence are truly inspiring.. His early progress highlights the importance of proper fit, training, and ongoing support in the rehabilitation process.
John continues to prove that it’s not about the obstacles you face, but the mindset you bring to overcoming them. Seeing him regain his independence and return to activities he enjoys in such a short amount of time is a remarkable reminder of what’s possible.

We are honored to be part of his journey and can’t wait to see what he accomplishes next. 🐎💪🦾🦿
