Wisdom teeth are usually only removed if they cause problems, or are likely to in the future. There are no scientifically proven health benefits of pulling wisdom teeth that don't cause any problems.

It is important to get answers to the following questions before having any wisdom teeth removed👇🏼

🦷Are your wisdom teeth already causing pain or damage to your jaw or nearby teeth, or is there any increased risk of that happening?
🦷Are your wisdom teeth preventing the other teeth from developing properly?
🦷Are your Wisdom teeth interfering with other dental or jaw-related treatments that are already planned?
🦷What risks are associated with surgery?
🦷Could the wisdom teeth "replace" molars (back teeth) that are missing or badly damaged?

Dental sealants can be an easy way to ensure your teeth are protected from decay over the long run, but knowing more about dental sealants and their cost prior to the procedure can help you decide whether the treatment is right for you.

What are dental sealants?
Dental sealants are plastic coatings usually placed on the chewing (occlusal) surface of the permanent back teeth — the molars and premolars — to help protect them from decay.

Why are dental sealants placed on teeth?
The chewing surfaces of the molar and premolar teeth have grooves — "fissures" — that make them vulnerable to decay. These fissures can be deep, difficult to clean, and narrower than even a single bristle of a toothbrush.

Plaque accumulates in these areas. The acid from bacteria in the plaque attacks the enamel and cavities can develop. Fluoride helps prevent tooth decay and protects all the surfaces of the teeth. Dental sealants provide extra protection for the grooved and pitted areas by providing a smooth surface covering the fissured area.

When are dental sealants placed?
Since dental sealants provide such strong prevention against tooth decay, they're typically used with children and teenagers once their molars come in.

Root canal or endodontic therapy is a dental option for patients suffering from tooth decay, severe toothache, and sensitive tooth. It involves the treatment of exposed and severed tooth nerves or the removal of the bacteria from the infected pulp.

If you are suffering from an infected tooth, there are a lot of reasons why an endodontic treatment is an ideal solution. Here are 5 amazing benefits when choosing root canal therapy to treat your infected tooth:

If you have braces, there is a good chance you will need to get them tightened at some point. Braces are there to straighten your teeth and for you to get a more aesthetically pleasing smile. It can also encourage better oral health as misaligned teeth are more prone to plaque buildup. Bacteria and plaque can lead to dental problems, including cavities and periodontal disease.

While every patient is different, you should generally have your braces adjusted or tightened every 4-10 weeks.

Keep in mind, though – your orthodontist will personalise your braces treatment to your individual needs, so there’s no exact adjustment time that will suit everyone.

In the initial appointment, your orthodontist will assess the severity of your malocclusion and develop a braces-tightening schedule especially for you. Your personalised adjustment timeline will depend on your age and oral health, as well as the alignment of your teeth and jaw. Patients with severely crooked teeth may need to have their braces tightened more frequently – although even in severe cases your braces might be tightened every 2 weeks for the entire treatment period
