Not every transformation is about appearance — sometimes it’s about finally being able to breathe.

Brittney came to us after years of an underlying jaw and airway issue that was affecting her sleep, and, over time, her overall health. What looked like a bite or profile concern on the surface was rooted in something more functional: her jaw position wasn’t supporting healthy airflow while she slept.

Orthognathic (corrective jaw) surgery is a significant undertaking. It’s planned in close coordination with orthodontics, often over a year or more, and it involves real recovery — not a weekend procedure. We never take that lightly, and we don’t overstate what surgery alone can promise. What we can say is that, for the right diagnosis, correcting the jaw’s position can meaningfully improve both function and quality of life.

Three to six months out from surgery, this patient is sleeping more soundly, breathing easier, and — as a welcome side effect — smiling with a confidence that came from finally addressing something she’d lived with for a long time.

We celebrated Dr. Seaman yesterday and today it’s Lexius’s turn — our insurance coordinator who keeps things running smoothly behind the scenes.

After a throat cancer diagnosis, radiation treatment could not begin until severe dental disease was addressed. With no dental insurance and an overwhelming extraction quote, he feared he had run out of options.

Dr. Justin Seaman and the Lighthouse team created a medically necessary full-arch treatment plan. Within two days, he received dental implants and went home with teeth, allowing him to eat and move forward with radiation and chemotherapy.
