Integration of Medical and Dental Electronic Health Records (EHRs) should be a pressing priority!

Agreements in medications between the two EHRs is significantly low and can have serious implications to patients’ health.

Case completion long delayed by COVID. Excited to finally share this.
This patient presented with severe maxillary atrophy, except for #11,12 region.
Bilateral zygomatic and pterygoid implants placed posteriorly with left canine site and right lateral pyriform rim implants placed anteriorly. SWIPE ➡️
Internal connection angled multi-unit abutments have made it substantially easier to place zygomatic and pterygoid implants simultaneously, which would otherwise have a considerable palatal and buccal access, respectively.

Final maxillary and mandibular prostheses are monolithic zirconia with veneered gingival porcelain. Thanks to for the amazing lab work. Big shout out to .a.dds for sharing his cool surgical and prosthetic techniques, and and for their insights with .

Our latest systematic review and meta-analysis has just been published with in Supportive Care in cancer. https://rdcu.be/caN3p

Transition from one antiresorptive drug (ARD; e.g, bisphosphonates followed by denosumab) to another has become common practice with the advent of more potent/safer agents. We analyzed prevelance of MRONJ (medication-related osteonecrosis of the jaw) in patients treated with sequential antiresorptive drugs.

This systematic review suggests an increased prevalence of MRONJ associated with sequential ARD therapy for pamidronate-zoledronate and bisphosphonate-denosumab administration when compared to single ARD therapy.

This has tremendous clinical implications for all those involved in care of patients with cancer or osteoporosis, including oral health care professionals.

Guided implant placement #8,9 and immediate provisionals #7-8, #9-10.

❇️A discernible benefit of fully guided implant placement is the prosthetic feasibility of implant supported
immediate provisionals in terms of predictability and reduced chairside time.

❇️Once the surgical guide was printed, dummy implants were placed into a model, and these beautiful provisionals were fabricated by Champions Crown and Bridge lab, Houston.
