The patient came in lacking posterior support, gross tooth decay with multiple teeth and what appeared to be an Angle’s Class III occlusion. Once I relaxed her into CR, I realized she is a pseudo - Class III malocclusion with a functional, forward displacement of the mandible resulting in an anterior crossbite. The patient was surprised after surgery we started the correction into an Angle’s Class I. We completed her with a DAO4 Zr utilizing Neodent dental implants. Thank you .joangreco for her superb skill and care throughout the patients journey with us!

Full mouth rehabilitation due to generalized tooth wear. Initially the patient was looking to treat only the worn maxillary anterior teeth for esthetics purposes. Once I relaxed him into CR his mandible came forward showing the need for posterior support. Lithium disilicate E-Max 3/4 crowns and veneers were bonded utilizing Multilink.

The patient presented with generalized tooth wear from parafunctional bruxism with resultant loss of occlusal vertical dimension (OVD). Restoring the OVD provides the space needed for material thickness and strength while allowing me to preserve as much enamel as possible for better bonding. Lithium disilicate (LD) is an etchable material which allows strong micromechanical bonding to tooth structure. Strong bonding can increase the fracture resistance and reduce restoration microleakage and micromotion of these LD restorations. Prior to bonding with Multilink I pumiced then etched the prepared tooth with phosphoric acid to remove the smear layer and associated bacteria to provide a more predictable bonding surface. In this case 3/4 E-Max crowns and veneers were utilized to restore the patient.
