At Powell Pediatric Dentistry, our goal is to provide excellent and compassionate dental care in a fun and comfortable environment. We have an open-door policy, and parents are welcome to be present for any cleanings or treatment. Your child will always see the same pediatric dentist, Dr. Austin, allowing for a more comfortable experience. Dr. Austin Chase Powell is a pediatric specialist. He comp

leted his undergraduate studies at The University of Alabama, and continued his education at The UAB School of Dentistry, where he earned his DMD. He went on to complete a two year pediatric dental residency at Children’s Memorial Hospital, Northwestern University in Chicago, where he served as Chief Resident in Pediatric Dentistry. Dr. Austin is Board Certified by the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. During his pediatric training, Dr. Austin obtained extensive experience treating the oral health of children, adolescents, and patients with special needs. The program allowed him an advanced level of training in minor and complex procedures, oral conscious sedation and nitrous oxide, as well as operating room procedures. Dr. Austin holds clinical privileges at The Children’s Hospital of Alabama. To schedule an appointment, please call 205.538.3335
