Since opening its doors in 2007, Holton Dental has remained committed to providing exceptional dental care through advanced technology and compassionate, home town service. Shortly after graduating from the Indiana University School of Dentistry, Dr. Alex Gilliland and his wife, Taige, established the practice with a vision of bringing comprehensive dental care to Jackson County. In 2013, Dr. Samantha Rieschick joined Holton Dental after graduating from the University of Nebraska Medical Center College of Dentistry. She and her husband, Ross Rieschick, later became business partners in the practice and have made their home in nearby Soldier.
Conveniently located on the main level of Holton Medical Center with easy access to Holton Community Hospital and Medical Pharmacy, Holton Dental proudly serves patients throughout northeast Kansas. The practice provides comprehensive dental care for patients of every age, offering preventive care, same-day crowns and bridges, fillings, dentures and partials, root canal therapy, extractions, professional teeth whitening, orthodontics and complete dental implant placement and restoration. By providing implant treatment in-house, patients receive high-quality, long-lasting tooth replacement solutions without the need to travel to specialty offices.
At Holton Dental, creating a positive patient experience is just as important as providing excellent clinical care. The team is committed to making every visit comfortable and stress-free by offering gentle, personalized treatment in a warm, welcoming environment. Patients are often greeted by the practice’s friendly Goldendoodle therapy dog, whose calm, affectionate nature helps ease anxiety and brings smiles to children and adults alike. From the moment patients walk through the door, the goal is to help every patient feel relaxed, valued and confident in their care.
Technology plays an important role in delivering efficient, precise treatment. As a fully digital practice, Holton Dental utilizes digital X-rays, 3D Cone Beam CT (CBCT) imaging, digital intraoral scanning, an in-office 3D printer and CAD/CAM same-day crown technology. These advanced tools improve diagnostic accuracy, enhance treatment planning and allow many procedures to be completed in a single visit.
Holton Dental believes quality dental care should also be convenient and affordable. The practice accepts all dental insurance plans, electronically files claims on behalf of patients and offers flexible financing options to help make treatment accessible.
