When we’re working with a patient to create a beautiful restorative result, aesthetic magic isn’t left to chance. We carefully plan each step so the final outcome is predictably awesome.
And those beautiful results don’t just happen with the final restoration. They BEGIN with the END IN MIND.
In fact, we essentially build the case four times.
First, we envision the result using photography and detailed style guides. Then, we bring that vision to life with a three-dimensional wax blueprint (exactly what’s happening in this photo).
From there, the wax design is transformed into beautiful acrylic provisionals that are temporarily cemented in place. This gives us the opportunity to “test drive” the smile before anything is finalized by evaluating the proportions, shade, speech and phonetics, and how the bite comes together.
Finally, we scan the provisionals to provide a final three-dimensional blueprint for our skilled ceramist (Klaus at Blue Crane Dental in Virginia Beach) to deliver a masterpiece.
We don’t leave the final result to chance. We plan it, build it, test it, and perfect it.
All of this brings us tremendous joy. We are not finished until the patient is a raving fan.
