I’m looking forward to joining fellow dental professionals this Friday as one of the featured speakers at Boston University Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine’s CE in the Sun event, taking place at Gulf Stream Brewing Company in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

During my lecture, I’ll introduce dentists to the FirstFit guided restorative veneer workflow, drawing on my experience as a practicing clinician and clinical instructor.

My presentation will explore the principles of guided veneer preparation, appropriate case selection, digital treatment workflows, and the clinical considerations that help dentists incorporate this technology into their practices.

I believe successful digital dentistry requires more than advanced technology. It requires sound diagnosis, clinical judgment, an understanding of restorative principles, and practical training that helps clinicians translate new techniques into everyday practice.

I’m honored to be part of a program featuring fellow dental professionals sharing their knowledge and expertise. I look forward to contributing to the discussions, exchanging insights with colleagues, and connecting with those interested in the future of aesthetic and restorative dentistry.

One of the most valuable parts of the FirstFit workflow is the mockup process.

A mockup is much more than just a preview — it allows patients to visualize their future smile before treatment even begins. By transforming a treatment plan into something tangible, it creates excitement, confidence, and trust throughout the process.

Not only does it help evaluate esthetics, smile design, phonetics, and patient expectations, but it also greatly improves communication between the doctor, patient, and laboratory. Most importantly, it gives patients the opportunity to “test drive” their new smile before moving forward.

In my experience, once patients see themselves with the mockup, the conversation often shifts from “Should I do this treatment?” to “When can we get started?”

This is what makes the FirstFit workflow such a powerful tool for creating predictable, patient-centered outcomes while improving the overall patient experience.
