Fall in West Michigan comes with some strong opinions, and it turns out our team has all of them. 🍂

Pumpkin patch or apple picking, c***r or donuts, and whether a fall beach day is a yes (still very much up for debate). And yes, a dental office voted for full-size candy bars for trick-or-treaters. We stand by it. Enjoy the treat, then brush and floss before bed. 😉

Come on in and make yourself at home. 🌷

We built our office to feel less like a waiting room and more like a friend's living room. There's soft natural light in the treatment rooms, cozy seats, tulips on the windowsill, and a crocheted tooth who is always happy to see you. It's spotless and bright, but never cold, and there's always a chair for whoever came along with you.

Your appointment's at 9. Here's what the twenty minutes before it look like on our side.

By the time you walk in, your paperwork is already done (from your couch, no clipboard required). The records from your last office have been read, and we mean actually read. Your x-rays are planned ahead of time, so if you had one taken recently, we're not repeating it. Your room is set, with sterile instruments sealed until you're in the chair. And if you mentioned on the phone that you were a little nervous, we already know that too.

You'll never see most of it, and that's kind of the point. It's a big part of why a first visit here feels calm instead of rushed.

Ever wonder what happens after you hop out of the chair? 🦷✨

Before the next patient walks in, the whole room gets a full reset. Barriers come off, every surface gets wiped down and disinfected, and every instrument used during your visit heads out to be rinsed, deep cleaned, washed, and sterilized.

It's the part of your appointment you never see, and one we never skip. Your safety (and your peace of mind) is worth every minute.

Say hello to Dr. Sarah Langhorst, the person behind Langhorst Family Dentistry.

She started this practice from scratch about eight years ago, just her and two chairs, because she wanted to build a place where anyone walking through the door felt like they belonged. That's still the whole idea today.

When she's not in the chair with a patient, you'll probably find her out enjoying everything West Michigan has to offer. Community first, dentist second. That's the goal.

Somebody's usually asleep by the time you remember you meant to ask about Thursday's appointment. Text us anyway. We'll get back to you the next morning, no phone tag required.

Great patient care starts before the patient even walks through the door. ✨

Before each appointment, our team carefully prepares and sets out the sanitized instruments and supplies needed for that specific patient and procedure. That means everything is ready to go, nothing is overlooked, and valuable appointment time isn’t spent searching for what we need.

It’s a small part of the process, but thoughtful preparation makes a big difference in creating a smooth, efficient experience from start to finish.

We asked our team one question: you just moved to Holland, where are you going for dinner? Nobody hesitated on food. Everybody hesitated on Chick-fil-A being a legitimate answer (it is not, according to the rest of the room).

Final answers on the board: Mizu Sushi, Crazy Horse, Reservoir, and tacos, obviously.

Ever wonder what happens to your instruments after your appointment? Come take a peek behind the scenes with us. Every single tool gets a good scrub in the ultrasonic or heavy duty dishwasher, then is dried, wrapped, and fully sterilized in one of our autoclaves before it ever sees a patient again.

It might not be the most glamorous part of dentistry, but it is one of the aspects we are proudest of. Your safety is not something we cut corners on, ever.
