Lower arches need love too.
This patient received a full-arch All-On-6 implant reconstruction completed entirely by Dr. Brink using a fully digital workflow — and most importantly, the patient never left our office without a fixed set of teeth attached to implants.
While the surgical portion of this case was very predictable, the medical complexity required advanced planning and coordination. The patient had a long history of Rheumatoid Arthritis and was taking Humira and Methotrexate, medications known to impact healing and immune response.
Several offices previously advised the patient that dental implants were no longer possible and recommended a traditional removable denture. After a comprehensive evaluation, our team collaborated directly with the patient’s rheumatologist to safely modify her medical protocol and allow implant treatment to be completed responsibly.
To further enhance healing, safety, and long-term success, we incorporated advanced biologic and surface technologies including:
• Implant plasma surface activation
• PRF membrane coverage over extraction sites
• PRF “sticky bone” grafting for defect reconstruction
• Carefully managed pre- and post-operative antibiotic protocols
This case highlights how complex medical histories do not automatically eliminate implant options when proper planning, collaboration, and technology are utilized.
Full-arch reconstruction can restore function, confidence, and quality of life — even in patients who have been told treatment is no longer possible.
